It’s good to travel…
This vacation has taken me to Orange County and San Diego, CA, Boston and New York, and now I am in Vancouver. It has been fun meeting up with the old friends and make new friends, eating, chilling, talking, and catching up. Special thanks to Abe Kim for letting me stay at his place for few days in Boston. It was good seeing you, bro, and good to see that you are doing well.
It’s been good, just being away from the business of ministry for awhile. A lot of people were surprised that I can take off two weeks (including two Sundays) from my church duties, but I think it’s really necessary for all ministers to do that once in awhile. The summer has been too busy, with two mission trips, a retreat, and some pastoral transition stuff at our church. So, this has been a good time to travel, reflect, and just think about my personal life and such…
Last fall, in the Presbytery Meeting, where I became a candidate, a pastor prayed for me and this other person being certified as candidates, and he also encouraged us to make sure we intentionally keep our Sabbath. I have not been best at it, but this has been a reminder that we do need our Sabbath and we do need to spend some personal quiet time with our heavenly Father…
Just few more days left in this trip. I look forward to all that God has installed for me in this trip, before I return to mission field where God has called me.
